1. Login into Cario
  2. Click on 'Consignments - Create New' on the left-hand side
  3. Your sender address will automatically populate with your warehouse address
  4. To change this, click on the edit button next to 'Collect from'  

  5. Click on the 'Deliver to' button to add in the delivery address

  6. Add delivery instructions and dispatch details

  7. For additional delivery requirements such as time slots or tailgates, click the [more options] on the top right. This will bring up additional options to complete
  8. In part 'Shipment dimension & weight' type in the correct freightExplanation of the screen:
    1. Product: you can define products of the same items you sent eg. pallets/weight etc. This will save time when creating more connotes
    2. Container: what for freight is it
    3. Reference: you can add a reference to the Shipment
    4. Quantity: how many containers of each sort
    5. Weight(kg): the weight in kilo's per container
    6. Length(cm): the length in centimetres per container
    7. Width(cm): the width in centimetres per container
    8. Height(cm): the height in centimetres per container
    9. Volume(m3): this field is calculated automatically after entering the dimensions
    10. Assets: for future use
    11. Hazardous materials: If you have dangerous goods to deliver, click on the red plus sign before adding the freight
    12. When clicking on the red plus sign for adding dangerous goods, a pop-up screen will appear: 
    13. In this screen, you can define the dangerous goods items and confirm screen with [ok]
  9. Confirm if there are any Dangerous Goods in the consignment (uncheck field), otherwise, check this field if there are no Dangerous Goods
  10. Click [Create] if you have more consignments or Click [Create and Manifest] if you wish to Book carrier and manifest consignments at the same time. 
  11. A range of carrier services will display. Select the correct service and click [OK] 
    1. The cheapest carrier is presented as the first carrier in the list and is high-lighted in green.
    2. The fastest ETA is high-lighted in blue
  12.  Your 'Labels' and 'Con Notes' and 'Manifest' will pop up in PDF. Print these. 
  13. If your browser has a pop-up blocker, please disable for this site as 'Labels' and 'Con Notes' and 'Manifest' appear on separate web pages
  14. If you have dangerous goods please print the paperwork


If you enter the product code the fields container / quantity / weight / length / width / dangerous goods if applicable is automatically set. You can always change the quantity and the other fields.

 

If container type doesn’t have the correct volume (m³) the field becomes red and [calculate] is greyed out.

 

Error message: the volume of the item you are sending is less than 0.001m³ indicates that the dimensions may not be correct. Volume should be at least 0.01m³. Please change the dimensions to ensure the volume is 0.01m³ or higher

If the dimensions are incorrect (for examples entered in mm instead of cm) you receive a warning message, and the specific field is marked as yellow. The option [calculate] is available.

Warning message: the value you have entered for length (or width, height) is larger than would normally be expected – 1 meters. Dimensions are always entered in centimetres (cm). Please check you have entered the correct value as incorrect dimensions will result in high freight charges
